It is a great place to go if you are water oriented and want a really quiet week. The people are fantastic. The workers are put to work raking the lovely sand grounds for hours on end. It does look very nice.

The condos are very unique. Units are clean. There is a double bed in the large living area that forms a “U.” It’s a really fun living experience, unless there are storms. The “walls” of the units are wooden louvered panels. Screens, much like your window screens, are on all four sides, floor to ceiling. Inside the screens are the wooden louvered panels, floor to ceiling, that are on rollers. Spread across the room, the panels form privacy for nighttime and protection against the rain. Stacked together, panels provide an open living area, a wall of screens. The very large bedroom with a king bed is iron-clad tight, contained in its own enclosure within the main unit.

Coral Sands Resort is a small timeshare resort located close to downtown Georgetown and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Enjoy a day at 7 mile beach just a short drive away or relax at the resort’s private beach. Close by is Stingray City, great for diving and snorkeling. The resort also has a small pool.

This is a great timeshare resort, a real gem, only 12 units so you are never more than a few steps from the beach or pool. Grocery is across the street, makes snacking and cooking in very convenient. Great outside BBQ for cooking your fresh catch. Can dive from dock next door or snorkel out front.

One of the greatest shallow snorkeling sites is right off the beach, with every kind of coral, fish and sponges. You’ll see tarpon, parrot fish, turtles, sting rays, lemon rays and dozens of others.

Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance and there is covered parking if you have a rental car. The units have everything you need for cooking and making tropical drinks.

The staff is great, with so few units to look after, they really pay attention to anything you need. You won’t go wrong here.

Morritt’s Tortuga Club timeshare resort has a beautiful location! The distance and ever increasing traffic make the drive to the other side (east end) at least 45 minutes long. There is a modest grocery store a 1/4 mile away with reasonable prices but with slim selection. Check in seemed ok. The staff seemed friendly. The timeshare unit was well maintained and very clean. There was plenty of space but limited facilities. There was no dishwasher or washer and drier in the room.  The timeshare units are around the pool and have some view of the ocean. Very nice sized bedrooms with a large living dining area. Bedrooms with King Beds in both and 2 full bathrooms on the lower level and the living room, kitchen, half bathroom and lanai on the second level. One bedroom has twin sinks outside the shower and toilet area and the other is a standard bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet. The kitchen was well sized and the upper level was an open floor plan. There is a stackable washer/dryer combo on the first level.

The beds and furniture are in good shape as were the curtains and blinds. The microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer looked pretty new. The curtains and living room furniture were in great shape. The grounds were beautiful with many flowers and lush foliage. All the staff ware very friendly and helpful.

The units are grouped in clusters of 4-6 units with each cluster having a small pool and hot tub that we used a couple of times. There are several gas grills scattered throughout the property and 7 tennis courts. There were a few scheduled activities, mostly craft projects but we were told we could use the Wyndham resort in Kona where they had more activities.

The resort is in a good location, just south of Kona. On the Big Island you do a lot of driving. There was a shopping center with a supermarket, drugstore and other stores about 1 1/2 miles away. The weather is excellent, with so many things to do on the Big Island you cannot do them all in a week.

A five-story building straddling the soft, golden sands of Grand Cayman. Tortuga Seaside timeshare will be the premier vacation experience at Morritt’s Tortuga Club. Beautiful décor, spectacular ocean views, spacious interiors, fully appointed kitchens, upgraded amenities and floor plans for as many as ten people. Six-inch concrete walls and floors add privacy and protection.

Check-in was a breeze. The lobby is beautiful. You are greeted and checked in by a friendly desk clerk. The ground floor units have porches with chairs & lounges and the upper floors all have balconies, which also have chairs, tables & lounges. I was told that Friday arrivals are checked into rooms on the 2nd floor.

The view from the balconies are spectacular! They overlook the ocean and the waves breaking over the reef, which is few hundred yards off of the beach. As you face the ocean and look to the right, you see the restaurant, (David’s), a beautiful dock and tiki bar. The tiki bar is located about mid-dock, and the dive bldg is on the end of the dock. If you look to the left, you see part of the Reef Resort. The bedrooms are upstairs, and each one has its own bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, and a large balcony, with a couple of chairs. The other bedroom has 2 twin beds, which they pushed together to make a queen. There is a small TV on the bureau in the master bedroom.

There is no TV in the other bedroom. There is ample storage in the bedrooms, including plenty of closet space. There is also a closet with hangers upstairs, in the hallway between the bedrooms, and downstairs, near the steps. All of the bathrooms were decent-sized, but wouldn’t consider them spacious.

You need a car to travel into Kona and around the Island to see all the volcanoes. Some are live with lava flowing. Don’t look for any white sandy beaches, they are all lava rock that go into the ocean. Don’t miss the Luau (pig roast) at the largest hotel in Kona. Good meal and show, all outdoors.

Check-in was a breeze, just had to pay a little more attention due to the heavy accents of the island people.

Morritt’s looks like an oasis in the desert. The resort had a very nice and clean look to it. There are 3 pools on site, which includes using the one at the Grand. Pool bars at 2 of the 3 pools. A dock bar that was awesome, sitting, having a drink and looking out onto the blue/green ocean. Beach chairs are lined up right at ocean front. You can’t help but sit out every morning, looking out onto the water and then again as the sun set.

The resort Restaurants were pretty good and reasonable, as compared to other restaurants in the nearby area. The food is very good at all the places we ate.

Redsail Inc. had their set-up right in front of the resort, where you could go out diving or rent a beach toy to take out into the Ocean.

The units is facing the pool and the bedroom looking toward the ocean. The room is comfortable and clean and the kitchen had all that you needed. You could walk right out the front door and be on the beach. The bed is a queen size.

This was kind of a laid back week for us, but here are a few of the things that we did.

Rum Point: Great beach area heading further east .Nice ride, beautiful homes along the way. Good food, good drink, good snorkeling. Gift shop. Great place to hang out.

Stingray city: Awesome. Great snorkeling trip and playing with the stingrays. Went out with Moby Dick Tours. Great people. Didn’t feel like a tourist attraction.

Georgetown: Geared mostly for the cruise ships, this was a nice little town, heavy on jewelry and liquor stores. Nice little coffee shops and had a few good lunches in town.

Seven Mile Island: Beaches, high end restaurants and hotels. It was great getting back to Morritt’s after a day in town!

This timeshare resort is on an unspoiled length of Seven Mile Beach, with tennis and swimming on-site. Among activities nearby are sailing, shelling, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving to experience coral reefs, and of course, soaking up the warm sunshine.
The check-in process is very smooth. The timeshare units are in very good condition and it looks newly restored. The interior of the unit is well done with lots of space to move about. The master bedroom, living room and bathrooms were all nicely decorated. The second bedroom is on the smaller side and did not have a TV. The TVs in the master and living areas are flat panel.

The kitchen is adequately stocked and everything is in working order. The screened-in patio is large with well placed furniture and easy access to the pool.

The condition of the beach was rough and rocky (coral beds) everywhere. You need foot protection for the water. Neither the beach or pool is overly crowded and things seemed to flow nicely. The grounds were well kept and maintained regularly.

The timeshare resort amenities are very limited and as such most activities should be planned for off -site. The small staff at the resort are friendly and courteous. They were helpful in providing information about the island.

There is a beautiful beach, Lydgate Beach Park, about 5 minutes away that is perfect for swimming and for small children. But you do have to drive to it. Kauai is a wonderful island. There is a lot to see and do.
