The Banyan Harbor Timeshare Resort Review
Friday, October 31st, 2008One of Kauai’s best values when it comes to island accommodations, the Banyan Harbor Timeshare Resort is ideal for your next vacation getaway. This resort offers one- and two-bedroom timeshare units with a queen bed in the master bedroom, queen or full-size bed in the guest bedroom, sleeper sofa in the living area, full-sized kitchen, and washer/dryer.
Nestled on a hillside overlooking Kalapaki Bay, the Banyan Harbor Resort is just steps from famous Kalapaki Beach, and two miles from the Lihu airport and Kauai’s business center. No other location on the Garden Island can offer the convenience, quality, and price of Banyan Harbor.
Make the most of your Kauai vacation with a helicopter tour of the island, or a traditional Hawaiian feast at an authentic luau. Relax on the warm sandy beach with a cold drink and a good book, or swim, snorkel, and surf in the warm Pacific waters. Great shopping, restaurants, activities, and entertainment surround the resort, as well as three golf courses.
This timeshare resort couldn’t be more centrally located. Li-hue is where the airport is, the airport is about 3 miles from the resort. The resort sets on the southern edge of the city near the harbor, so near that from some units you can watch the cruise ships arrive and leave. The resort sets across the street from a park that includes the beach, but for a swimming beach you must walk past the park to the Marriott hotels beach. There is plenty of shopping nearby.
There is a pool at the top of a hill at this location and the BBQ pits are there also, the view is pretty good up at the pool.
The units look like cozy apartments and they are mixed use, apartments and rentals and timeshare here. The unit was very large and comfortable. Two bedrooms two bathrooms. The living room has cane style furnishings, with a couch and love- seat, a chair and a small coffee table. The furnishings have a colorful flower-al print, very Hawaii.
There was a TV, stereo and VCR. The other side of the room has the dining and kitchen areas, glass top table and more cane style chairs. Banyan harbor does have video tape rentals in the office. Also bike rentals are available.
Kitchen was big enough to work in and had tile floors and counter-top. There is an Electric stove and plenty of cabinet space but no pantry. The kitchen sink is stainless steel, coffee pot, toaster, blender in the cabinet, and a small microwave. The pans are small but oven-safe. Single wide refrigerator with freezer on top.
Carpet is throughout the units, except for baths and kitchen. Off the living room has one of three Lanai’s, the guest bedroom has a lanai and there was one small area outside the side door off the kitchen.
Both the master and the guest bedroom had queen-size beds. The master-bedroom had its own bath and the bath has double sinks, and a tub/ shower combo with jade green tile on the floors. Off the living room is a guest bathroom that is configured the same way. The guest bath also has a closet holding an apartment size washer/dryer combo. There are plenty of fluffy towels for all. Bath towels for ocean or pool is available in the office and can be changed at anytime by dropping them in the basket in the office and receiving clean ones.
The building exteriors are white and pink. The lanais have good lawn furnishings on them.
