The Banyan Harbor Timeshare Resort Review

Friday, October 31st, 2008

One of Kauai’s best values when it comes to island accommodations, the Banyan Harbor Timeshare Resort is ideal for your next vacation getaway. This resort offers one- and two-bedroom timeshare units with a queen bed in the master bedroom, queen or full-size bed in the guest bedroom, sleeper sofa in the living area, full-sized kitchen, and washer/dryer.

Nestled on a hillside overlooking Kalapaki Bay, the Banyan Harbor Resort is just steps from famous Kalapaki Beach, and two miles from the Lihu airport and Kauai’s business center. No other location on the Garden Island can offer the convenience, quality, and price of Banyan Harbor.

Make the most of your Kauai vacation with a helicopter tour of the island, or a traditional Hawaiian feast at an authentic luau. Relax on the warm sandy beach with a cold drink and a good book, or swim, snorkel, and surf in the warm Pacific waters. Great shopping, restaurants, activities, and entertainment surround the resort, as well as three golf courses.

This timeshare resort couldn’t be more centrally located. Li-hue is where the airport is, the airport is about 3 miles from the resort. The resort sets on the southern edge of the city near the harbor, so near that from some units you can watch the cruise ships arrive and leave. The resort sets across the street from a park that includes the beach, but for a swimming beach you must walk past the park to the Marriott hotels beach. There is plenty of shopping nearby.

There is a pool at the top of a hill at this location and the BBQ pits are there also, the view is pretty good up at the pool.

The units look like cozy apartments and they are mixed use, apartments and rentals and timeshare here. The unit was very large and comfortable. Two bedrooms two bathrooms. The living room has cane style furnishings, with a couch and love- seat, a chair and a small coffee table. The furnishings have a colorful flower-al print, very Hawaii.

There was a TV, stereo and VCR. The other side of the room has the dining and kitchen areas, glass top table and more cane style chairs. Banyan harbor does have video tape rentals in the office. Also bike rentals are available.

Kitchen was big enough to work in and had tile floors and counter-top. There is an Electric stove and plenty of cabinet space but no pantry. The kitchen sink is stainless steel, coffee pot, toaster, blender in the cabinet, and a small microwave. The pans are small but oven-safe. Single wide refrigerator with freezer on top.

Carpet is throughout the units, except for baths and kitchen. Off the living room has one of three Lanai’s, the guest bedroom has a lanai and there was one small area outside the side door off the kitchen.

Both the master and the guest bedroom had queen-size beds. The master-bedroom had its own bath and the bath has double sinks, and a tub/ shower combo with jade green tile on the floors. Off the living room is a guest bathroom that is configured the same way. The guest bath also has a closet holding an apartment size washer/dryer combo. There are plenty of fluffy towels for all. Bath towels for ocean or pool is available in the office and can be changed at anytime by dropping them in the basket in the office and receiving clean ones.

The building exteriors are white and pink. The lanais have good lawn furnishings on them.

Unlimited pool towels are available pool-side, and if you happen to want to change your towels in the early morning or evening when they are not open, just stop by the front desk. Pahio at Kauai Beach Villas Timeshare Review

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

This island paradise is decorated with colorful flowers, lush plants, and a variety of palm trees. Meander along tropical garden paths and cross quaint footbridges which span lagoons filled with graceful swans. Retire to your timeshare decorated in bold flower patterns blended with richly painted walls, creating a welcoming hideaway for your tropical vacation.

Kauai Beach Villas offers one- and two-bedroom timeshare accommodations featuring a full kitchen complete with a range, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, plates and utensils, queen sleeper sofa in the living area, private lanai, and washer/dryer. One-bedroom villas sleep four and offer a king bed in the master bedroom. Two-bedroom villas sleep six and offer a king bed in the master bedroom, and a queen or two twin beds in the guest bedroom.

Kauai Beach Villas offer incredible activities like tennis on one of four courts, a refreshing swimming pool, and relaxing jet spa. Just a few footsteps from your villa and you are on the beach. A keen eye may land upon a rare Ni’ihau shell on Nukoli’i Beach, one of the few places they can be found. Enjoy a beautiful Kauai sunrise breakfast at the beach, or pack a picnic lunch to enjoy while relaxing on the balmy shore.

This timeshare resort is located minutes from Lihue Airport, and between Wailua and Kapa’a on Kauai’s east shore. Close by are a variety of Hawaiian activities such as the Wailua Golf Course, kayaking the Wailua River, and taking the riverboat to the Fern Grotto. Explore Kauai’s south shore and visit Poipu Beach, Spouting Horn, Hanapepe, Waimea, and Kekaha.

This timeshare resort is comprised of a cluster or buildings ( 8 or 9) around a lagoon with 2 or 3 buildings having ocean views . The majority of the buildings sit back from the oceanfront but are a short walk to the beach. The beach is pretty for walking or sunbathing but not for swimming ( too rocky and rough) The nearest beach for swimming is Kalapaki at the Marriott which is about a 10 minute ( or less) drive. The Radisson is virtually part of the same grounds and has 4 pools with lots of lounges.

The best features of Pahio at KBV is the easy airport check-in; the close and central location of the resort both in terms of getting from airport and relatively short drives to restaurants and beaches; the use of the Radisson pool: and the overall size and condition of the unit and the resort.

The Cliffs at Princeville Timeshare Reviewed

Monday, October 27th, 2008

Located on the north shore of Kauai, The Cliffs at Princeville lies within the Princeville Resort on 22 acres of lush tropical land. The Cliffs gets its name because of its situation on a high bluff, with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. This timeshare resort offers spacious one-bedroom and one-bedroom with loft timeshare accommodations. Each timeshare suite features a fully equipped kitchen, two full baths, two private lanais, and separate living and dining areas.

The Cliffs at Princeville timeshare resort presents several on-site amenities including four tennis courts, a swimming pool, spa for adults, and a putting green with sand trap. In the immediate area of Princeville, you can play the 45-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf courses, sample culinary delicacies at the many restaurants, or go shopping.

While in Kauai, be sure to see the beautiful Na Pali coast, either by sea, land, or air. Visit any of the uncrowded, soft, white sand beaches, spend a day hiking the tropical rain forest, or kayak down the Hanalei River. This timeshare resort is also known as The Cliffs Resort and The Cliffs Club.

Furniture, carpet, bedding, kitchen were all clean and looked very nice. Laundry is available on site. The grounds are simple and well-maintained. Parking is easy, adjacent to each building. There is a small central club house next to the pool, newly surfaced tennis courts, nearby putting green and horseshoes. There is no food on site, except for some wine and snacks provided at a welcome gathering on Sunday, but the Princeville shopping plaza with grocery store and restaurants are about 1.5 miles back towards the main highway.

Ka’Eo Kai Timeshare Resort Review

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

Formerly known as: PAHIO at Ka’Eo Kai Timeshare Resort, The Ka’Eo Kai Resort is a smaller, quiet resort nestled amid winding paths, waterfalls, streams, gardens, and ponds, all overlooking Hanalei Bay. This timeshare resort offers 2,000 square-foot two-bedroom suites perfect for families or a vacation with friends. Each suite features a queen or king-size bed in the master bedroom, two single or double beds in the guest bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living area, jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and private lanai.

Ka’Eo Kai provides something for everyone, whether it’s lounging by the pool, playing an early game of tennis, or hanging out in the clubhouse. If you really want to go Hawaiian, the resort offers hula lessons, lei making classes, and other fun activities for the entire family.
Make the most of your Kauai vacation with a deep sea fishing excursion or helicopter tour of the island. One of the most popular tours is “The Best of Kauai.” This tour includes a motorboat ride up the Wailua River to the lush Fern Grotto, a brief helicopter trip to see Kauai’s famous waterfalls, and a visit to the Kilauea Lighthouse and National Wildlife Refuge.

The grounds are beautiful and the units were clean. The units are spacious, the kitchen well-equipped. The master bathroom has room for a queen-sized bed in it, without interfering with passage to the jetted tub. The lanai wraps around the entire unit, and could probably hold 50 people at 10 tables for dinner. The kitchen, living room, and dining room are large. The second bedroom (which doubles as the lock-out when people bank their units as separate units) was more basic.

Princeville is great since you can walk extensively – to the supermarket / shopping center, to the Princeville Hotel (take the elevator DOWN to the beach), and down the beach trail to Anini Beach. Having the Foodland (be sure to ask for a Visitor Maikai card for discounts) right nearby is a big plus.

Marriott’s Kauai Beach Club Timeshare Review

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

Marriott’s Kauai Beach Club is a premier timeshare resort located on the sands of Kalapaki Beach. South Pacific-inspired one- and two-bedroom villas feature separate living and dining areas, and a gourmet center with microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and tableware. Each timeshare villa offers a master suite with a king-size bed, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area.

The Kauai Beach Club resort features amazing on-site amenities such as a 26,000 square-foot pool rimmed with colonnades and waterfalls, a children’s pool, spa, fitness center, and two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus. The resort also offers a variety of culinary delights at any of their five restaurants. Dukes is a favorite among guests with amazing seafood entrées.

Marriott has listed the top ten things to do in Kauai, all of which are bound to be a fun time for the entire family. Number one on the list is to take a cruise up the Wailua River to the Fern Grotto, where you will be serenaded by Hawaiian musicians in a phenomenal natural amphitheater. Additional island favorites are to take a movie tour and see where films such as Jurassic Park, and Balihai were shot; explore the island by helicopter; visit a botanical garden; or kayak down a river.

The two bedrooms had a king size bed and TV. The living room has a pull-down Murphy bed that is comfortable to sleep on. getting a lounge chair at the pool or beach was never a problem. The resort’s location at Lihue makes it convenient for going places on the Island.

Beautiful grounds. The grounds consist of a lush tropical garden with Koi pond and waterfall. There is a promenade walkway extending the full length of the resort between the beach and the resort structures. Large and beautiful pool. It certainly is impressive. Anyone who has seen the pictures will already know what it looks like. Actually being there impresses more than do the pictures.

Nice beach. The sand is good, and the surf is relatively tame for Hawaii due to its being on a bay rather than directly on the ocean. The beach is generally safe for older children and teens. Nice view. Directly opposite the beach is mountainous landscape, making for a nice backdrop to the beach itself.

The timeshare resort has a nice exercise room, and there are restaurants, shops, and many activities available either on-site or nearby. It is possible to remain at KBC for one’s whole vacation without ever venturing anywhere else. Convenient location. The resort is close to the airport, and Lihue is central on the main island roads. So, whether one wants to travel to Poipu or the Waimea Canyon to the south and west, or to Hanalei or the Na Pali coast to the east and north, KBC is a good place to start.

Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club Reviewed

Friday, October 24th, 2008

The Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club is a resort truly worthy of its five star distinction. Elegant two-bedroom, two-bath timeshare villas offer separate living and dining areas, private lanai, master suite with a separate bath, and oversized soaking tub and shower. Each unit features a king bed in the master suite, a king bed and double sofa bed in the guest suite, a queen sleeper sofa in the living area, and a full kitchen with cookware and tableware.

The Waiohai Beach Club is beautifully landscaped with waterfalls and lagoons, lush tropical plants, and the sandy shores of Poipu Beach just steps away. Spend a lazy day in the sun snorkeling or swimming in the ocean or either of the two outdoor pools. While the beach is perfect for children, the resort also offers a shallow children’s pool for a day of splashing and playing. Grab a snack at The MarketPlace, or sit down for a meal at The Kiawe Grill. Also on-site are a fitness center and children’s activity center.

One of the top ten things to do while staying at the Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club is take a cruise to the Fern Grotto. Cruise up the Wailua River to a lava rock grotto covered with tropical ferns. At the grotto, you will be serenaded by Hawaiian musicians playing traditional, local songs. The acoustics within this natural amphitheater are fantastic and greatly enhance the singing and guitar accompaniment. The trip up this historic and sacred river takes about 40 minutes via a long flat bottom riverboat. Boats depart from the south side of the river every 30 minutes. The Wailua River is the only navigable river in Hawaii.

Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club is a spectacular, luxury Marriott timeshare resort. The suites are large, well furnished, and immaculate. Furniture is new. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with quality pots and pans, appliances, dishes, etc. and a table for six. The lanai has a table for four plus lounge chairs. Free ethernet and wifi in rooms. Washer/dryer; and air conditioning. The grounds look like the quintessential tropical paradise; happy hour at the bar on the beach produced postcard Hawaiian sunsets nightly.

Spotless unit, large kitchen, liked the colors of the unit, large two bedrooms. There is a large workout facility on the second floor of the main building check in area. The property is in an ideal location with Poipu Beach right in front of the resort. You will kike watching the surfers in the early evening by sitting on the lounge chairs by the pool bar area. The beach is great for swimming, sunning, snorkeling, body-surfing and regular surfing. When the water’s calm the snorkeling is great.

Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas Timeshare Review

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

The beautiful Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas is set on 18.5 oceanfront acres overlooking Kauai’s Anini Beach. The villas offer home-like amenities, including up to two bedrooms, a full kitchen or kitchenette, separate dining area, laundry facilities, a flat-screen TV with DVD player, and a private lanai.

The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas will have four pools, including one specifically for children, three whirlpools, and a Westin Workout fitness center complete with steam room and sauna. The activities were great! Surfing lessons, lei making, hula dancing, bartending. The staff was super efficient with poolside service, and the onsite restaurant is one of the best we’ve seen at a Westin timeshare. Very first class food, stylish…five star food. There are plenty of grills and tables throughout the property.

The rooms are very clean and well laid out. The kitchens are well stocked with dishes and utensils. The bathroom is very nice. The beds are very comfortable. The flat panel TVs are great and has cable TV with lots of channels including HBO. The colors of the room are very pleasant. The kitchen and bath rooms had granite counter tops that are very nice.

Kauai is the ultimate vacation destination, and the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas offers the ultimate luxury accommodations for enjoying it.

This timeshare resort is excellent in design, quality, service and location. Furnishings are superior to any I’ve seen in any timeshare. Appliances, plumbing fixtures, overall engineering and design are all high quality.

The Alii Kai Timeshare Resort Review

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

The Alii Kai Resort is the perfect place to relax and decompress. Located in Princeville, on the north shore of Kauai, this resort is situated on a bluff overlooking the endless Pacific Ocean and surrounding Kauai landscape. The Alii Kai offers two-bedroom timeshare units that sleep six. Each unit features a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the guest bedroom, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, full-size sleeper sofa in the living area, and washer/dryer.

While at the Alii Kai, savor the stunning hilltop and ocean views, relax by the pool, or participate in the various resort activities. Experience the spirit and beauty of the island as you gaze at a romantic sunset from your balcony, or enjoy a family barbecue in the garden.
While in Kauai, swim in the vast Pacific Ocean, or go sport fishing, surfing, snorkeling, or scuba diving. Whale watching is a popular attraction, and the natural beauty of the island itself is breathtaking. Go hiking, golfing, biking, take a helicopter tour of the island, or feast at an authentic luau. There are many colorful entertainment spots, shopping, and fine dining establishments, all nearby.

It is located in a beautifully landscaped area located on a bluff and away from the main thoroughfare. This resort has one of the best views in all of Hawaii. You could see both the mountains and ocean from your lanai. The Sweetwater, a.k.a., Ali’i Kai II, is located directly across from the Cliffs Resort. The area is very quiet. The unit is very clean and well maintained. There were beach towels, dishwasher soap, and a cooler in the room. The units are found to be spacious and comfortable.

The surroundings at Alii Kai and in the Princeville area are very quiet and the landscaping beautifully maintained. This timeshare resort and area is quiet, laid back, and very inviting. The units are very well furnished. There are no “resort type amenities” on-site, but there is a very nice pool and BBQ facilities. The folks at the desk are extremely helpful and have great suggestions on activities and restaurants. Having a thermos, cooler, and beach towels in the unit is very convenient. They also rent chairs and snorkel equipment at the front desk. The units are very well equipped and furnished.
