Anchorage Resort and Yacht Club is a timeshare resort that features an outdoor pool, tennis courts, a shuffleboard area, a whirlpool, and nearby boat docks. The resort’s marina can accommodate boats up to 100 feet long. Off the shores of Key Largo lies the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first undersea park established in the United States. As an added bonus, superb restaurants, shops, and exciting nightlife are less than an hour away in Miami.
Both the bedroom and living room have doors to a long screened in porch, which faces the bay. The unit are clean and well equipped. The kitchen has everything you want, including a dishwasher and fridge with an automatic ice maker. The unit is very comparable to other timeshare units.
The dining area and living space are comfortable. The cable TV had the full range of channels. There is a hide-a-bed in the living room, with extra sheets, etc. available in the entertainment center. There is a king size bed in the master bedroom. On one side of the bedroom is a small lighted vanity area that led into the bathroom.
The resort has dockage available for an extra fee, but no rental boats or tours on site. It appears that this sort of thing could be easily arranged. There is a pool and hot tub onsite. There are no planned activities, restaurant, lounge, or welcome reception. The lobby has a small gift shop and an area with restaurant menus and area attraction. Staff at the front desk are helpful and courteous. There are outdoor gas grills, and table and chairs in an attractive little setting. There is also a nice tennis court.
